Webquest
I also wanted to add that I had a lot of trouble with understanding how to do the webquest until I found the site at zunal.com. I had read all the information that was posted on the syllabus and had my question/topic, but I couldn't figure out how to do the step by step process. I had explored and found a good link about Folk Tales, and had fun choosing which folk tales to use in my webquest.

Here is the link to my webquest. I used the zunal.com webquest which gave me very clear and step by step directions to complete my webquest.

Summary for Fun with Data
Here is my Summary taken from the Narrative. I made three spreadsheets and added the categories mentioned in the instructions. I used the Sort feature to put the columns in numerical order, to get the range of numbers for each column and then used the calculator to figure the average. I'm not sure if this is what was been asked for, but this was what I understood, from the directions. Then I uploaded to goggle documents and then here to my blog.

Difficulties Children with Autism Face Every Day-PPT Movie
I hope this works, as I couldn't view it to save on Teacher Tube, after I loaded it, even though it said it was saved. I'm not sure if its something to do with my computer or, Again, or if I did something wrong.
I checked it and it works, but I had to directly upload from my computer. I'm also inserting the link to it for Teacher Tube, in case its something with my computer and it works for others to go to the link:

Jeopardy-Power Point Game and Review
Here is my Jeopardy Power Point. I uploaded it from goggle documents after I loaded it to my desktop. For some reason I couldn't get it to save as a document on my computer. I made the necessary changes to Dr. Pierce's Jeopardy game and then put in my answers and questions I made up from my Power Point entitled, "Difficulties Children with Autism Face Every Day."
I have also linked my Review for Jeopardy game below:

Difficulties Children with Autism Face Every Day-Power Point
I was finally able to get help with uploading my Power Point to my blog. One of the reasons I couldn't upload it before was because the file was too big. I had added audio to my power point to make it nicer, but it made it too big to download.

Power Point Presentation-2
I downloaded my power point presentation to Dr. Pierce through his g-mail account, as he suggested in his e-mail today. I was unable to post it directly to my blog last night, when I finished it.
I enjoyed presenting my Shirley Temple Biography podcast to a third grade class today. Their teacher used her biography to introduce the new unit in they will begin next week on Women's History. Several of the girls had seen a least one of Shirley Temple's movies, and they all seem to have fun listening to the song at the beginning and end of the podcast. I briefly explained how I had made the podcast and had used You Tube to find the music for the podcast. They were excited to listen to some of Shirley Temple's music on their teacher's record player, as I left my Shirley Temple Album in their class.

Difficulties Children with Autism Face Every Day-Power Point
I used the Microsoft Power Point program on my computer to make my power point presentation. I added pictures from Clip Art and I used the audio narration from the power point program. Then I saved it as a 97-2003 file. I have discussed this presentation with the Librarian at my Elementary School and I will be presenting it to the fifth graders as a demonstration of types of programs and software that is available to use for assignments and to teach the students about children with Autism. I will also be submitting it to my professor for my Introduction to Autism class, in hopes that my fellow students can use it to teach their students about Autism.

Shirley Temple Biography
I used Audacity to create my podcast. I then converted the file using LAME (After much frustration, I figured it out several hours later!) to an .mp3 format. I then created an account on podbean to upload my podcast and created a player to add to visual appeal. Below are my lesson plans script and matching activity for the 3rd grade class I will present it to.

Podcast - Shirley Temple Biography
I have been working on this podcast since Sunday and have put Way, Way, Way beyond 14 hours on it. My computer had issues with all the new programs I've added for this class and the sound kept going in and out on me. After I spend over an hour with HP getting the sound reloaded, then I could begin my podcast again. I spend many hours learning how to use Audacity, how to record the music, how to fade it in and out, how to record the lesson and then fade the music back in. When I tried to download the podcast tonight, it didn't work. I waited for over an hour for it to download, tried several things suggested, but nothing worked. I had completed all the lesson plans, script, and a hand-out to use with the third grade class before I even began the podcast, so I would have it all ready to do the word for word script. Now, at 10:21,I'm brain dead and my documents aren't downloading. I'm not sure if its another issue with my computer or what So I'm quitting for the night, as its 10:22 and I'm still recovering from the bad flu bug that's hit my school so hard, so I'll work 9n it tomorrow.

FTP
I had a computer geek friend come over Fri. evening and he helped me figure out why the FTP wasn't working, load it up and then transfer a few files over to the FTP. So I now have that skill under my belt.
Crappy Graphics
I went to Crappy Graphics and made a Venn Diagram to show the three schools I go to as a B. D. Itinerant Teacher. I used the paint brush to change colors, used the underlining tools, and the text to write in each circle. The URL of my graph is:

Online Graphics-Assignment write up
Today, I was finally able to download the second assignment with graphics. I had problems with downloading the infomation as I had save the graphs as documents instead of jpg files. Once I realized this, I then was able to download the graphs and complete the assignment. We had to access the Kid Zone chart construction page: http://nces.ed.gov/nceskids/graphing/classic/ and create a chart that shows the number of students with an IEP (Individualized Education Programs) in the poorest states. This was based on the per capita personal income per state information from the year 2006 accessed at this website: http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0104652.html. These states were Mississippi, West Virginia, Utah and Arkansas (ranging from the poorest state to not as poor). The additional information was found through the NAEP at this website: http://nces.ed.gov/nationsreportcard/states/. Under each state is listed the percentage of students with IEP. The chart portrays that West Virginia had the second lowest percentage of students with IEP than the other two poor states, but this may reveal that West Virginia has a smaller population and therefore a smaller number of students enrolled. The second chart reveals that West Virginia's avereage scores in Math have not been growing as quickly as the National average in Math.

Desktop Graphics Assignment
Ok, so I spend 2 hours looking through pictures on clip art and finding this other tree. I then decreased the header and footer on the page to fit all the text. Next, I tried to copy it on to my blog, but I couldn't get it to work. So I ending up downloading a picture from my browser and using that for my tree. So I can't quite explain all of #2 on the assignment, but I could show students how to use clip art to get pictures off the web, for projects.

Today's activities
Today I read Dale's Cone of Experience article and posted my picture and response to the article. I also answered the first self-evaluation question and posted it on the blackboard. I also realized, through others' responses that I was not following Dr. Pierce's blog daily and added that to my list of blog's to follow.
The starfish, pictured below is an excellent example of endurance and adaptability. Even will the change in tides, water levels, and temperatures, this creature manages to live out its life on this rugged Washington State coast. As I consider Dale's Cone of Experience, I would use this picture with the third grade class I wrote with to facilitate a discussion on environment, adaptability, and survival of the fittest. Dale's Cone illustrates ways in which we learn and how to use as many options as possible to enhance the way in which students take in and assimilate information. By using written words, pictures and verbally discussion of the starfish, the student would retain more information about the starfish as illustrated by Dale's Cone of Experience.

So I'm not sure exactly how I did it, but I was able to download my link to my resume from my published link and then download it to my blog. This all took me over 90 minutes, and I'm sure it was a lot faster for those of you who are not technologically challenged. The published form did not come out with the same spacing and bullets I had on the copy I did on microsoft word, but its up and I didn't want to try to mess with it, once I got it up, for fear that I might lose it. Oh well, it's a learning process isn't it?!
